Kettle of Fish Designs is a one woman business that creates unique designs for interiors, using an extensive library of historical photographs, illustrations and artwork. Through digital enhancement, modification and the use of unusual materials, I breathe new life into the images to create a juxtaposition of art and design that are perfect for eclectic homes. I create pieces that re-present vintage book illustrations and paintings by renowned artists such as Vermeer, Rembrandt and Van Gogh, incorporating them into art prints, fabrics and home decor that can be unique to you.
A major part of my ethos is sustainability. The materials I use are reclaimed, repurposed or recycled wherever possible and I work hard to avoid waste. For this reason my studio is full to the rafters with drawers full of bits that ‘might come in’!
